Dick Groat

Dick Groat was a top MLB shortstop from 1952 through 1967, excepting two years to military service during the Korean War. He was voted the NL MVP in 1960, when he led the Majors with a .325 batting average, and finished second in 1963. I actively advocate his election to the Hall of Fame.
While Groat is best known as a baseball player, he was also a fine basketball player. He starred in basketball and baseball for Duke and played a season with the Fort Wayne Pistons (NBA) in 1952-53.
A year or two ago, I found a great deal on Amazon for Dick Groat's autograph: a signed 1955 Topps Dick Groat baseball card for $13. It also came with a certificate of authenticity.
